John H. Skaggs
John H. Skaggs has more than 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation and toxic torts. John appears in state, federal and administrative courts for The Calwell Practice, LC’s clients. Born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia, he remained in the region to serve his community after graduating from the West Virginia University College of Law.
John represents people injured by asbestos, lead, carbon disulfide, trichloroethylene, polychlorinated bi phenyls, isocyanates, defective equipment, coal dust and other substances, and helps clients who have suffered injuries to their legs, arms, backs, pelvises, and skulls or contracted serious diseases, such as peripheral neuropathy, asbestosis, silicosis, mesothelioma, occupational asthma, occupational bronchitis, pleural disease, liver cancer, bladder cancer, adenocarcinoma, sarcoma and squamous cell lung cancer. He also represents clients whose properties have been contamination by dioxin, coal dust, and fines and fluff generated by mechanical car and appliance shredders, or who endure noise pollution from trucking and recycling activities.
